Kostas Kolimenos: Kostas Kolimenos is a photographer, writer and director. He attended screenwriting and editing classes at the "Mikro Polytechnic" and directed at the "Vassilis Rafailidis Film School". He has created three documentaries with the following titles: "Tilling Time" (60 minutes), "A day with Prince" (25 minutes) and "Zooming on the Cherry Trees" (42 minutes) in 2010, 2011 and 2012, respectively, which received very good reviews at the Chalkida Festival. His latest film "Orpheus" Way (72 minutes, 2013) is a fiction written and directed by him. The screenplay ‘The Pressure Cooker’ was released the following year, and won the first prize from the Greek Screenwriters Association
About The Film: Synopsis: Return To Normality Film Synopsis:
This is a story of Angeliki, a young Greek woman, who left London, in order to spend the weeks of confinement at the exact opposite end of the city and specifically in a very small village in the mountains of Greece. Her lifestyle violently changed and the people she met they brought her face to face with the primitive nature of her lifestyle. Primitive as a creation, as a way of living and as an erotic existence.

What was your drive behind making this film?
Kostas Kolimenos: Yes this is a good question, In the first quarantine of 2020, I was isolated in a house near the sea and all this information that came to my ears from the media sounded to you that the end of the world was coming. I completely closed the information and to dispel my fear I imagined this story and started writing the script.
How do you feel when you are awarded with the MP FILM AWARD Award.
Kostas Kolimenos: I really enjoyed it so much that I danced from my joy like a small child!
Can you tell us about the greatest moment during shooting this film?
Kostas Kolimenos: The best moment was when the shooting was over and the material made its way to the editing.
How rigorously did you stick to the script while shooting?
Kostas Kolimenos: My colleagues and I followed the script as I wrote it. I am very strict in this, I never change the script.
Where there any onset problems During the filming of the film & how did you deal with it?
Kostas Kolimenos: For the needs of the film we had to move to a mountain village where the main shooting would take place. We were about 20 crews and actors. The villagers as soon as they saw us were locked in their houses to not stick covid 19. it took them a few days to figure out how to have covid 19 but we are making a movie about covid 19. They opened their houses and stables for us for the needs of the film.
Do you have any advice for young filmmakers out there? Or like yourself?
Kostas Kolimenos: We all know that this medium you call cinema is produced only with a lot of money, but nowadays digital technology helps us and they can make a film with very little money. Do you think it is essential to go to a film institute in order to become a successful filmmaker?
Kostas Kolimenos: No but he wants a lot of study and dedication to the medium…
