A Few Words About Us

MP stands for Motion Picture Film Award, dedicated to independent films and filmmakers. With competitions every two months, We dedicate ourselves to awarding films based on their originality and creativity. 

Our competition is divided into budget groupings split across various media forms: short films, feature films, web-series, and music videos. Within these four Production categories, we separate the projects by their budgets: under $5,000, between $5,000-$10,000, and more than $10,000. We provide Critique Review for all the nominated films 300 words each,

When submitting your project you automatically enter the ‘Competition Only' category. All films in this category are judged on an equal level regardless of length or budget constraints. 

All selected participants within the main competition will be considered for the Jury Prizes. No films will be selected for our competition without a specific nomination.

For an extended Critique review of your film or web series, please enter Critique Review Only. The reviews average around 500 words each. We are currently unable to provide Critique Review for unproduced scripts. 

 

 

Categories and Submission Fee

  • Short Film - Less than $5000 -  All kinds of short films made with budget less than $5000 with a duration of 1 minute to 40 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

 

  • Short Film  - Between $5000 - $10,000 - All kinds of short films made with budget between $5000 - $10,000 with a duration of 1 minute to 40 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

 

  • Short Film  - More than $10,000 - All kinds of short films made with budget more than $10,000 with a duration of 1 minute to 40 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

  • Feature Film  - Less than $5000 - All kinds of feature films made with budget Less than $5000 with a duration of 45 minutes to 200 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

 

  • Feature Film  - Between $5000 - $10,000 - All kinds of feature films made with budget of between $5000-10,000 with a duration of 45 minute to 200 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

 

  • Feature Film  - More than $10,000 - All kinds of feature films made with budget more than $10,000 with a duration of 45minute to 200 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

  • Web - Series (All Budget) - All kinds of Web Series/Shows made with any budget with a duration of 1 minute to 40 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

  • Music Video (All Budget) - All kinds of Music videos made with any budget with a duration of 1 minute to 10 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

  • Documentary Film (All Budget) - All kinds of Documentary films made with any budget with a duration of 1 minute to 200 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

 

  • Animation Film (All Budget)  - All kinds of Music videos made with any budget with a duration of 1 minute to 45 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $15 and a student fee (of $12), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

  • LGBTQ Film (All Budget)  - This is a new category designed especially for LGBTQ Filmmakers or filmmakers who want to tell their stories about the LGBTQ community. the film must be about LGBTQ themes. Films other than LGBTQ topics are not acceptable in this category even if the film is made by LGBTQ Filmmaker. all budget acceptable Standard fee of $15 and a student fee (of $12), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

  • Films Made by Women Filmmakers. (All Budget)  - All kinds of films are made by women filmmakers made with any budget with a duration of 1 minute to 200 minutes, any kind of genre or group of genres. with a Standard fee of $20 and a student fee (of $15), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

  • COVID -19 VIRUS RELATED FILM (Any budget)  - 1. Films shot in covid - 19/the pandemic period or on the subject of Covid-19, lockdown, 2. Any kind of film short, feature, documentary, monologue, Web Series, Music Video, all are acceptable in this category only with the first rule of the category. Standard fee of $15 and a student fee (of $12), the student submitter must require the ID of the school/ college/university.

  • Screenplay  - screenplay only.

Rules

  • All Submission accepted by online only. we don't need hard copies (DVD, Tapes, etc.)

  • Film language other than English must need English subtitle

  • Entry fees are non - refundable.

  • Student filmmakers must need a valid school ID

  • The submitter can submit multiple entries.

  • We don't accept films produced and completed before 2000,

  • All the communications through email only.

  • There are no Online/Public screenings for your film. so that we do not affect your other submissions or premiere status.

  • The submitter can request for online screening, trailer teaser screening or promotion through social media and our website.

  • We don't accept unproduced scripts at this moment.
